Bronze Grave Markers

A bronze grave marker sits level with the lawn, holding fine detail and raised lettering in a material built to weather generations outdoors. Fram Monument casts every bronze marker in our own facility and checks the design against your cemetery's requirements before it goes into production.

What You're Choosing

What is a bronze grave marker?

A bronze marker is built in two parts, cast and matched to work together for decades in the ground.

The Bronze Plaque

Cast in solid bronze from a hand-finished mold, giving raised lettering, emblems, and borders more depth and detail than an engraved surface can hold.

The Granite Base

The bronze plaque is set into a granite foundation, then both are installed flush with the grass. The base keeps the marker anchored and level for the long term.

Setting & Placement

Individual or companion placement

Bronze markers are ordered for a single grave or to span two plots as a shared memorial.

Individual Bronze Marker

A single bronze plaque set over one grave, most often around 24 x 14 inches. The most common bronze option, and the most affordable of the bronze sizes.

Companion Bronze Marker

One wider bronze plaque, typically 40 to 48 inches across, spanning two adjoining plots. Many families have one name and date cast now, with the second added later.

Investment

How much does a bronze grave marker cost?

Every bronze marker is custom designed and cast in our own facility, so we quote each family individually rather than publishing a fixed price list. As a general guide, here are typical ranges.

Marker TypeTypical SizePrice Range
Individual Bronze Marker (Granite Base)≈24″ x 14″$2,500 – $3,000+
Companion Bronze Marker≈40″ – 48″ wide$3,995 – $6,000+

This table is a general guide only. Your exact price depends on size, finish, and personalization, and will be confirmed by a design consultant.

Inscriptions

Choosing inscriptions for a bronze marker

Bronze casting holds raised lettering and fine detail well, so families often use it for more elaborate layouts than a flat granite marker would carry cleanly. Most designs draw from the same building blocks:

  • Full name and birth & death years, or dates left blank to add later
  • A relationship line, such as "Beloved Husband & Wife" or "Forever Loved"
  • A short epitaph or verse
  • A family surname, for companion or family markers
  • Raised religious, military, or fraternal emblems, cast directly into the bronze

Your design consultant will proof the full layout with you, so spacing stays even even if a second name is added years later.
